just cut the excess metal off the Auto Brake pedal and save your self some time.

found this on another thread.

Remove the 4 nuts that secure the brake pedal assembly, and the wiring to the switches on the brake pedal. Remove the Clevis pin that attaches the pedal to the master cylinder. Under the hood, it is necessary to pull the master cylinder out so the studs clear the firewall, as well as the actuator for the master cylinder. Now you should be able ot get the brake pedal assembly removed.

i pulled the m aster cylinder under the hood out of the way so the studs dont hit it..still no luck bro..lol

-1 bolt under the dash
-2 sensors disconnected
-pin that holds to the master cylinder

Thank you, someone with a clue actually responded. The pedal won't just fall out unless the column is out of the way. You could see that if you got under the dash and looked.

2 bolts and 2 nuts underneath the column. The whole thing drops down.

sorry for the stupid questions..these bolts are located more towards the pedals or more towards the steering wheel?

To drop the column you need to remove the steering column lower plastic cover and get on your back and slide underneath. (You could remove the seat to make it easier but it's not necessary). Then look straight up and you'll see the bolts. Use a long extension and be careful when reinstalling them since you'll have to hold up the column while threading them in. Good luck.

Since you're already halfway there, now may be a good time to check the steering column to rack coupler and change out the steering column bushing to a solid collar.

The coupler has a U-joint. Check for movement in that u-joint and replace if you need to, especially if you're going to add a turbo since that area is really susceptible to heat.

If you're tight on money, you can reuse the coupler from a b13 sentra I believe. Same part, but the Sentra coupler tends to be more durable because it's not exposed to exhaust heat.

Plus it's easier to drop in the motor if you don't have the steering column in the way.

Actually, I did steering coupler bushing and brake pedal swap at the same time. I pulled out whole steering shaft and replaced the rubber bushing with aluminum one. And swapped the brake pedal. Still I had to play with it to put the pedal back in. Clutch pedal was much easier compared to brake pedal.

If you cut automatic brake pedal, it's closer to accelerator pedal, so you can do heel and toe easier.
