i got my new harness today, so i spent all day working on my car.. got all the wiring done, and hooked up..

everything was hooked up except the TPS, my blacktop has a different TPS plug than my harness has..

my TPS is a 6 wire, the plug is a 3 wire..

would my tps not being hooked up cause it to die when i hook up the MAF ??

and about the TPS situation, should i just splice what i have together ??

im not sure if it would totally die put it will sputter and idle like shit, is your timing off alot? or maybe your MAFS is bad?

Why is the wiring harness different? What harness do you have?

Your 6 pin TPS on the engine is for an automatic tranny.

The new harness you ordered with a 3 pin TPS connection is for a manual tranny. You can splice it together, or you could buy a 3 pin TPS.

would the TPS and MAF not being plugged in, then plug in the maf make it die ??

oh yea, if the MAF is plugged in, the car will not start
