i have stock tires and i need new ones, i want to get bigger ones also . could i get say 235 or 225 size 16s with no problems?

well..if it rubs..then get extended studs and spacers...should work out fine

16 x ? 6 ? 7? 8 ? 9 ?

if its by 6 i wouldnt 7's u can possibly put a 225 and 8's no problem at all running 225's/ or / 235's

I'm guessing you have 205/50-16.

Optional sizes:

215/50-16

225/45-16

Not too much beyond that.

Aftermarket wheels now a days are pretty cheap. If you're set on a 235 or larger section width, I would suggest getting new wheels.

17x9 wheel with a 235/40-17 would look decent on your s14 (provided the wheels have the proper offset).

Bigger tires equal higher top speed.Smaller tires equals more acceleration.

Not like theyre really gonna make a difference on your stock 240. And as long as it stock your not gonna ever go past 110mph top speed. or 5000rpm in 5th gear.

235's fit stock se wheels no problem. They buldge as a mofo, but they fit nonetheless. One of my buddies put that size on just for fun.

yeah, I meant cuz 235 is a stupid size for stock wheels.

Wider tires means you can apply more breaking force without locking up the brakes. If anything it would be safer. If your brakes are in such horrible condition that the increased traction some how caused them too fail, then you need to maintain them better or replace them.
