I have a 93 180sx USDM, the fuel meter on the cluster stops half way in between full and empty has anyone other than me had this problem and if so how did you fix it.

it's either your guage, or your fuel level sending unit (the thing with the float on it that ur fuel pump is attached to. probability wise.....fuel sender = first prize, guage = lesser likely of the two.

where can i get a replacement for the fuel floater or assy

remove the sending unit and using a DMM check the voltage as you lift the float up and down, it should be a constant increase and decrease between 0-5 volts, if there is a glitch in the unit you will see the voltage either drop to zero when it shouldnt or stay at a certain voltage when it should rise or decrease... kinda confusing haha but im not sure of how else to explain it

Check fuel level sender wire and float level. Read the FSM.
