On a 91 SE Coupe that has a HUD, if an SR is swapped into it, will the HUD still work? If not can you buy the JDM one and swap it in and still work in mph? Also, does an S14 VLSD swap into an S13? If not how do people put LSD into a Coupe S13?

yes all 91+ DOHC ka guages will work for the SR swap~! now... if you get the silvia/180sx guages (HUD and non HUD) you may use it too because it will work (thanks everyone! for your help) but it will only show you KM/hr not in MPH/hr ask the canadians they have 240SXs with KM/h. anyhoo yes LSD in s13 are either the stock 180sx/240sx/silvia VLSD or you can use the s14 LSDs but use a s13 cover and somehow smash it in to the car. will theres also many other LSDs like the J30, Q45, Z32 300zx, Kaaz, Nismo, etc etc. it'll all be fun for you!

i have an s14 open diff email me if you want it... 100!
i also have a *working* JDM HUD digital cluster 120!

SILVIA.... my love your USDM hud is still broken!

So are you saying that a usdm HUD will read correctly in mph with an SR swap? Also, are you saying that my s14 LSD will swap into the s13 diff or do I have to swap the whole freakin rearend?

If you use the speed sensor from your USDM tranny in your JDM tranny your HUD should display the correct speed in MPH. Same is true for analog clusters.

As for the VLSD, yes the s14 VLSD can be installed in the S13.
You could swap just the internals but you will need the proper output shafts or you could swap in the whole pumpkin (diff carrier) you will need the rear cover from you stock diff and you might need the S14 axles as well. Look at this site (http://plaza.ufl.edu/briand/lsd.htm) for more specific info on the VLSD.
