they hold in there very well..i tried pretty dayumm hard to pull it out of
there and wouldn't budge. as for wiring goes..i just stole power from the parking lights temporarily.. and yes. i made sure they weren't wired up to the blinker wire lol. i will post up pics later tonight when it gets dark out

I guess as far as 'no-drill' mounting solutions it's... functional

The idea of mounting them in the little grilles is very nice though.

well for one. i wrote something else on a different thread. i feel like people should get rep for doing somthign different and im sick of people flamming on people just becasue they have nothign else to do. this is cool this = cool to me lol..and i think im going to do it when i get home. so id like to see the pictures its pretty cool.

+1

I did that already my bro got in accident the day after so... Yea, I'll get a picture just let me look through my photobucket.

OK here it is. It looked different and better the crash made it get unaligned so it looks crappy. You can see the bolt where the fog held on from...

I think it looks pretty good! Here are a couple of suggestions/ concerns I have:
1. Light output might be limited because they're set back in those grilles- it might keep the light from shining outward.
2. They might shake since the only support they're getting is from the plastic bumper cover. You might consider some sort of metal bracket to tie them into the bumper rebar or core support...

Also, I know you said this was temporary, but don't leave them connected to your parking lights unless you're using that wiring to trigger a relay! The parking light circuit wasn't designed for the load those fog lights will put on it, so you could blow fuses or, worse yet, cook wiring!

But I think it's a clean way to add fogs to your front end- good work so far!

looks nice i might try it but doesnt this restrict the air flow cuz the divers side vent is the inlet to the factory airbox?

hahah yeah i realizes fuses could go and wires can cook. thats why its temp =). but i am one to jerry rig. but not cuz i half a$$ cuz i like to go back and look at it from differnt aspects and see another way to do it ^_~

and as promised...
if u like wiring get a pair of these

That actually looks pretty good. I'd love to see night time shots as well.

Are the fog lights going to cause a problem drawing too much power from the parking light circuit? I would've maybe used a relay maybe to get on/off from the parking light circuit, but actually draw current from its own fused wire directly to the alternator/battery/fusebox.

yeah i just wanted to get them on lol. i didnt run the power wire for my subs yet. so once i get through the firewall i'll tag along a few wires and maybe run it to the actual parkin like like..switch on the console thing lol.
open to any suggestions though

Looks a little messy underneath, but functional and looks good on the outside. +1 for creativity and a budget alternative to the rare/expensive Canadian DTRLs (which I want badly).

you should cut thru the plastic so it can expose the fogs..but other than that its looks good!

i like the idea of cutting the plastic.. thank you haha. i have a spare one so i might as well cut it and if it looks bad...oh well i got a back up ahha

oh and the wiring was to show u how i ran in..you have to like go a foot behind the actually covers before theres an opening to bring the wires back to the parking lights lol

lol..soo uhh..didnt come out as well as expected..but thats okay! its still a work in progess..i still need to rewire them possibly producing more light, i will fix the aiming of them..and considering cutting out a few fins in the grill for more light projection

Walmart carries them, so does your local auto parts store...fits like a glove in that vent thing.
