S13 SR20det, in an 89 coupe

k so i need HELP!! i did an SR swap about 3 months ago. i have been trying to figure it out since then. i have redone the timing, plugs, MAF, boost leaks, vacumm leaks, head gasket is fine, valve cover is fine, i have checked all that i can think of.

So the problem is that it smokes whitish black smoke, if i hold it in any RPM it sputters and spits and pops, but if i just rev it up it goes through the RPM range just fine. I changed the plugs and let it idle for 2 mins MAX, pulled out the plugs and they were black as sh*t.

I cannot check the ECU codes as the screw is stripped from the previous owner. i have checked with him and he has no idea what it could be.

So if any of you could help me out i will love you forever. lol jk
Anyways any help is greatly appreciated. thank you in advance.

leaky Injector? Is it on all of the plugs?

My friend had a similar Problem his ECU case was banged up pretty bad and the case was touching the circut Board so it was grounding it out.

Do a compression test also

Sorry i had Brad_240sx post this for me. hes my roomate. anyways it is my SR that is having issues. I did the compression test already it turned out
140,140,138,136. Yes all of the plugs are JET black. there is way to much fuel going into them. thanks for the input.

I would think the most likely cause of this would be a problem with the ecu and/or sensors incorrectly reporting too it causing it to dump way too much fuel in there, you're in a tough spot without being able to get ecu codes... new ecu? >.<
