Sometimes when switching to the next gear, the car jerks a lil.  Is that called shock?  And if it is or isnt, how do I eliminate that jerking feeling?  Does that happen becuase of the gear oil?

it's because your not shifting smoothly enough , your letting off the clutch to fast with not enough gas going

yup thats exactly whats happening. im learning to control my speed lately and always do that. when you speed shift your getting on the gas so fast you dont feel it.

after a while, you usually get used to the car enough that you don't get that anymore. I basically pop the clutch every shift, and it's almost always really smooth.

misnomer

Keep in mind it's more noticable in torquier (is that even a word?) cars. Keep practicing, you'll hammer it out eventually <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
