How long do Walbro fuel pumps usually last? i've had mine for a couple years now and i've noticed that it's taking longer to prime then when i 1st put it in. someone told me once that Walbro's are only good for a year or two. has anyone here had to replace their walbro after a few years?

yes, all the time for me.

IMO which could be worth nothing... I do NOT prefer the walbros, though, many people have good luck with them.

I was replacing the pump every 6 months on my red track car :( but i was swinging it around allot, so maybe it was just running dry on fuel.

Seems they are hit and miss. Some crap out after a month, some don't. On my old S14 it lasted 2+ years before I sold it. My new car will be using one also.

My friend decided not to go with a walbro but got a 350z fuel pump instead and hes had it for 3 years and counting. Oem fuel pump tend to last longer.

can you use the 350z pump without modification? from what i can tell it's got the inlet and outlet on the same side (as opposed to the 240sx on opposite sides). Can this be made to work?
