Um..it means you have oil and coolant running through the head. Thats supposed to happen. What was the reason you took the head off?

Maybe he is talking about the different colored valves on the last cylinder? (I hope)
If not then you have a oily block there, maybe you should clean it.

You = Fail @ asking questions.

Well it actually looks like someone spilled oil on that piece of cardboard and he rested the head on top of it. Then he proceeded to lift it up and snap a picture.

I would lean toward blown headgasket judging by the discoloration of cylinder #4's valves.

that might just be reflection and discoloration from a bad camera. especially if this was taken on a cam phone. that shit happens all the time. specifics would be nice....
*EDIT* hm ok thats worse than i first saw haha

Your roll center is way out of wack.

I recommend KW Variant 3 to fix it.

looks like coolant got into #4, those exhaust valves are too clean

i think you blew a head gasket and it got into cylinders 3 and 4? was it running before you took it out? white smoke coming out of the exhaust? milky oil? lose of coolant water? those are tell-tale signs of a blown HG

yes i took the head off cause i had a suspicion of a blown head gasket. symptoms i had were, low engine oil, low coolent levels, even after filled. car misfires during start up. i head water sounds behind the dash (seems to be pretty frequent on sentra forums. ooyea and white smoke.

but i looked at the headgasket, didnt see and damage, tears and stuff like that. i just wanted to see if i was right about the headgasket.

the head should be getting decked today. and hopefully this car will be up and running by friday as this is a family daily driver.

thanks for all your replies.

most likely you blew it. make sure you resurface it after replacing the headgasket. sounds like you did blow it though.
