I didnt hit anything... and I dont think anyone was messing around with my car.

For some reason, the window buttons on my driver's side door won't work. The passenger-side button works fine though. Also, the power locks button on the driver's door still works.... this is really weird. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/nervous.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':nervous:'>

Oh, and also, when I used to activate my alarm, it would automatically roll up the windows (if they were down). Now, it doesn't do it... not even the passenger side window.

I'm thinking that the problem is somewhere inside the driver's side door... maybe something with the buttons or wires...

Does anybody have any ideas? Does my idea sound right?

common problem w/ the 240, the signal amplifier in the door (drivers side) has a loose internal connection. I have the same problem off and on and haven't been able to isolate the problem. It's definately the amp though.

So you mean that sometimes your buttons will work and sometimes they wont?

Replacing that signal amplimafier should fix the problem, shouldn't it?

I know this sounds stupid but make sure the window lock isnt on before you spend money and time.

actually common problem with nissans is the window switches being bad after a while could be due to windows being open during rain or whatnot but when i worked at the dealer that was the most common cause not the amplifier

Yay, I finally fixed it!!! My roomates and I took off the driver's side door panel, and there was a fuse in there for the power windows. It was burnt out, so i replaced it, and now everything works fine!! Woohooo!!!

.. I know.. this is an old post, but I think happy endings are cool <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/inlove.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'>

Same thing is wrong with my 240, kind of. My drivers side window wont go down, but the passenger side works including both switches. Could it be the amp or a fuse? I think it's the amp and I have been looking for one to replace it with. I just hope it isn't the motor <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/unhappy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':unhappy:'> That's expensive, especially since I have to replace my wheel bearing now....Bad times <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>
