car turning off

when im driveing my car turns off could it be my altinater or catalytic converter or what could it be?

Could be a thousand reasons why your car turns off....anything from poor maintenance, (needs tuneup / timing checked), to electrical short, (wiring harness cut due to lowered suspension), to bad fuel pump, MAF or ECU. Kind of difficult to diagnose over the Internet.

Maybe if you posted a little bit of information like what year your car is, if you've done any maintenance or modifications to it and what exactly happens before your car dies....like your motor sputters as you come to a stop then dies, or dies while you make a turn in any direction, etc....
It would help us to try to figure out what your car problems are....
