It's version 2

You can tell since the item is billet aluminum

I used to sell version 1, which was cast aluminum

Not trying to thread jack, but keep in mind that these quick releases are made with the intention of getting in and out of the car easier (if you have a bucket seat, etc)

Not really with the intention of security

It definitely helps, but technically you can just take an allen key and remove the FET quick release then bolt up your own wheel (and if anyone tells me that I'm giving away some form of secret info, I'm not)

Also on a side note, notice that picture on the first post, bottom right? The "WB" logo means its made by WORKS BELL JAPAN, i.e super high quality, not b.s knockoffs!

Well I know about the easier to get and out thing haha.

It still gives me a little sense of security knowing they'll have to use their own steering wheel. Making them work by removing the allen keys, that extra 30 seconds is good enough for me.

I know, I did see the WB logo. Good shit. Can't afford their other QR though lol

plus this isn't as common as a "NRG" one. the likely hood of a theif carrying this around is slim to none!

I'm not sure which one I have currently but I bought mine aprox. a year ago and also have a FET. How can you tell if it's billet or cast? The one I have now has a LITTLE bit of play. I felt someone else's and it had a different black coating on the sleeve, it felt bumpier and moved smoother. I can take a pic of mine and show you so you can tell me if it's ver.1 or 2. If I have ver.1 I definetely want the ver.2 because his felt so much better.

just curious to know how much length is added with this system.

About an inch. I currently have the ver.2 because it is billet, but I'm greedy and want a new one. I'll be selling my old one if I get this new one if anyone local is interested?

Im kinda confused by this product. Is this a spacer to an existing quick release or is this a true shortened quick release. As in all i would need is the steering wheel and a hub? Just confirming so i dont purchase 2 quick releases.

Scott

C2AUTOSPL
12-17-2007, 02:12 PM
its a shortened quick release. any quick release acts as a spacer and brings the steering wheel towards the driver(depending on the hub application).

So when you purchase this, you'll just basicaly need a hub and steering wheel.
