What's the correction factor used on that dyno chart? That's very relevant here.

...or...what was the temp / humidity / pressure they day you dyno'd...? Should be listed on the chart.

there is a minimum message length, people add that so they can post short posts.

nice numbers man. Is the KA head known for not flowing that well?

Looks very similar to a Dyno chart i saw on PDM-racing's web site a while back, also known for making quite quick N/A track cars. Ah yes, canadians, hacking into KA ECU's since 2003 and making a wicked awesome plate of bacon since forever! :)

It took me a second, but I realized were I saw a graph based on that scale. Church Automotive uses a dynapack dyno, it rates to the hubs, and thier dynos graph's and scale look just like that.

Was that a dynapack dyno? Rated to the hubs, not the wheel.

No way in hell Crower V2's can do that, then again, I swing on JWT pretty hard.

Correction factor?

I hate when dyno graphs don't scale the TQ and HP the same.

TheJerk

Looks like the scale is correct, because HP and TQ cross at 5252, or can it still be off?

His picture isn't big enough to see the whole graph, but It looks like his TQ nosedives after 5K
Look at my graph

on the graph it says correction method is sae, yes it was a dynapack, yes they are crower v2,s i didnt feel shit with those cams until a year after they were in the car when i degreed them with a wheel from summit racing. ive got a line on some custom 304 duration crower cams that my firend had made for his tt ka.degreeing those cams made a world of difference. probably could have done some math , degreed them differently and made a few more hp at peak and less tourqe. bbut i wanted a nice balance of grunt and top end. did you happen to notice what my head did on the flow bench? thats what makes the power...

I'm still impressed. What, and how do you degree cams, and who did you go to for the head porting? Have stock headflow numbers?

For the record, JWT cams will peak around 6000-6200rpms, compared to crower V2 that you have. I think the V3's are just a whole new animal.

Hi, dyno looks great. I've run against the PDM Racing 240SX in autocross, that car is really impressive. I say I've run against it only because we're in the same class, I don't stand a chance :squintd:.

For any who might be interested, the PDM Racing 240SX uses stock KA24DE cams, you are not allowed to replace cams in STS class. Don't know what their timing setup is like though. The engine in that car is regarded as something of a freak of nature in the local club.

To the OP, just wondering if you still have A/C? Looks like you have dumped the clutch fan too... Any details you want to share?

the head porting was done by a guy on a ka-t forums. i dont recall the stock head numbers but it was quite a jump up form them. they were porting this head for a turbo car.

degreeing the cams, i cant beleive you dont know what that is. summit racing makes a kit that comes with a degree wheel that you stick on your crank pulley and a dial indicator you that rides on the cam lobe. basically ,you can see how you valves are opening in relation to where your piston is on its stoke. that way you can adjust you cam timing to make the most of your intake stroke, or move the most air possible into the combustion chamber. ....

not sure if im following what youre saying about the difference in the crower v2s and the jwt cams . what is the jwt cams duration that youre speaking of? and if i upgrade cams again , im going right past the v3s for a 304 duration crower.

no i dont have ac anymore. in the summer i usually drive with the windows down and the roof open anyway. like to hear the engine sound. if any of those ps eliminator kits were worth a crap , id ditch that too. but just because it would clean up that side of the bay a lil.no clutch fan. i dont think it helped me anyway. just gave it that truck sound. nismo stat and koyo radiator work great together.

ive already looked at some numbers and im planning to build a bottom end that should go beyond the 200 mark when my funds get right.ive got totally stock bottom end complete with hellacious blowby , hence the catch can in the pics. i also plan on building a high rise header similar to pandas14,s. id like to go itbs but this car is already loud enough, and with the high comp. new header and 304 cams im sure it will be retarded loud. i really wish i could upload a vid of it
