I am curious if you guys think my motor could handle a turbo and not break anytime soon.I bought it in September of 2000 with 35000 miles on it.But it now has 70k! I hate myself for doing that to the poor thing but my job involves alot of driving. My motor has always had mobil 1 synthetic at regular intervals. But maybe I should wait and get an sr20? Thanx

hmmm with that kind of mileage.... u may just want to re-build and change some parts, but u should be alright with that

Don't worry about it. Robthechef from Amarok list slap on a FMAX stage 1 turbo kit on his car with almost 100k miles. His car is still running good. No problems.

He was the black '96 on the SuperStreet article with the 4 turbo S14s.

that amazes me, that breathes new life into my hopes, i have 122K on my KA and was debating getting a kit, i guess you could always get the kit and run yer motor into the ground and then buy a new KA in a year or so for 500-750 bucks and move the kit to that.

A new KA for 500-750? I thought it would be more than that. If thats the case, I will probably do it!

not a brand new one, but you'd be surprised what people sell them for, alot of people pull them out for sr swaps and they just want to get rid of it and make a little money back.

LoL.... the availability of KA engines for a decent price is my comforting factor turbo'ing my 107k mile '95
