Ok, i've noticed a couple of posts lately with people saying they had problems fitting stuff they bought. So i thought having a topic with a list of bad parts would be valuable as well. Anyways, so it was easier for people reading try following this format:

Product: Name of product
Problem: what is the problem with the part
Comments: anything u wonna add

Hope this would be helpful.

product: 2.25" piping, catback, and muffler install from CAR-X
problem: poor welding job, looks like a five-year old did it. also, one of the sharpest bends in the pipe has a massive dent in it because the guy bending the pipes was inexperienced.
comments: screw Car-X.

Product: HotShot Headers for S14 DOHC

Problems: If you follow the instructions they give you, you may most likely find that there are about 10 steps missing. (the thing doesn't really "slide in" like they describe) You need to disconnect the steering...then you have to twist and push the thing to go through.
The flange in the rear doesn't line up with the flange to the rear catalytic converter.
Whenever the engine vibrates from underreving, the header hits the bottom of the car...making an annoying tapping noise.
I e-mailed HotShot about these problems, but I never got a response.
Tells you how much they care about customer satisfaction.

Comments: I wish I would have gotten the GReddy header and taken out the rear cat.
The HotShot header has a high quality finish, but seems like it was designed by some lazy fool at 3am.

Product: Procarparts intake for Ford Escort
Problem: Poor quolity, bad filter, didn't fit (hit the battery)
Comments: I wasn't gonna list it since it's not 240 related, but gives you better idea about what crap procarparts sells.

I greatly denounce the blue needle set from Import Intelligence.  They claim to come with easy install instructions, when infact they are 100% crap.  The end result of following the instructions left me with only my speedo working on my 93 hatch.  I'm still pissed off about this.  I believe a direct quote from the instructions goes something like this:  "Use a plastic fork to pry off the needle, being careful not to break anything."  Once again, i completely denounce buying the light up needles from these guys, unless you are 100 per cent sure you know what you're doing.

Product: Aiwa CDC-X217
Problem: The CD mechanism stops working. It skips, skips, skips if you even look at it. I've heard of a few people that have these and can vault speedbumps with no problem, but I've heard many more that have shitty issues such as these with it.
Comments: It has a cool face that can change from red to blue or back, but the CD player part is absolutely worthless. I'll never buy Aiwa car audio again.

Proddy:      Russel stainless steel braided brake lines for S13
Problem:    Stainless steel is not tightly weaved, fitment onto Caliper (banjoe fitting) is extremely difficult to get to fit, brake clip (to shock body) isn't spaced far enough from banjoe fitting -- Brake line may "stretch" when at full steering lock.
Comments:   See "problem". Product works, but design and fitment is mediocre/flawed.
