Hi i have this issue with my s14 tranny (ka). It grinds from first to second and sometimes the reverse pops out. At times even it grinds when i leave it at first gear. I usually just double clutch my way through so it wont grind. Now i have this issue that sometimes when i make a turn on a stop. That car starts to jerk and i try to press the gas it just keep jerking and stalls after in the middle of the street. Yesterday it happened on a big street and scared the crap out of me. I had to turn off and turn on my car to make it work again. I am not sure if its the clutch or tranny that i need to replace so please help me outs guys thanks.

sounds like the syncros are going out if not try adjusting your pedal under neath the dash theres a little pin and a bolt that comes out of ur clutch cylender back it up tighnit down put the pin back on and try it.

syncros are going out unless you dont have any fluid anyway sounds bad get another tranny $150 if you look and took me 30 minutes with air tools one time...

check your fuild level for your clutch also check to see if the two nuts that hold the clutch master cylinder are tight. next try changing your trans oil i had the same problem and all i did was check fuild level the nuts to the clutch master and changed the fuild with redline lightweight gear oil and that was it. also you clutch can also be going out. but in any case try the easy and less expencive stuff first. hope this helps you.

no, s14s have a crank angle sensor that is part of the tranny

Haha, my car has the same issue, but for the random stalling, that was something I somehow fixed just by taking out the intake and TB one day and cleaning them. O.o

I'm just going to rebuild my tranny, clutch, shifter fork, bell housing, the works. :)
