View Full Version : Power FC for a BT 94-96 on a 98 BT

Hey bro's
Does anyone have done a power Fc for a 180sx 94-96(blacktop) into a 98 blacktop came with a 62 ecu. I called Apex and they told me my power fc was for a 94-96 model blacktop with the E5 ecu. and the motor im using came with a 62 I found this diagram http://skylineking.com/fsm/62toJ4.jpg
Anyone?
the car power up eiather with the E5 or a 62 i have but no with the power FC

if the engine you have runs fine with the 62, it will work fine with the PFC unit you are looking into.

Why are you so demanding?

or some reason it does not power up the car , thats what im demanding :)

e5 and 62's will share the same PFC

J4 uses a different PFC, but rewiring using the info you have there should work.

If your blacktop was using a 62 ecu and running fine as long as the power FC works it should power up fine as your harness would of had to been rewired already for it to work with the 62, unless it is not a 98 blacktop and indeed an earlier blacktop.

Where did you buy the power fc from, was it in working condition?

I saw the frontclip when i bought it NOW im not 100% sure if they actually put that 98 engine on my car. i bought the power fc from a guy that had it running on a black top but he crashed the car and sold everything . is it anyway to tell that I have a 98 blacktop? probably the power fc is bad ? cause the car runs with the 62 and E5 . i hate this crap
