I'd love to. How would I register? Have you done any research on this cause from what I know it's kind of exclusive.

Plan on spending 40-60k dollars, or having it on hand while in this race. Plus the fact you will need the equivalent to about 100k plus dollar car. Thats the main reason its so exclusive.

Well i don't reallly think so. I mean u can always tag along. It's not like you gotta sign up and pay money. I'm thinking of getting people from east coast to make their own run down on the east coast to miami at the time to meet the gumball people down there hehe <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> all the fast imports (like <14sec)

That price I gave you about 40-60k is pretty accurate. I did a lot of research, and even if you dont have a 100k car, you stand no chance to even keep up. Most the money is for like entrance fee, trip down to the starting point, BRIBES, and misc shit.

Hey, i'd say that if you got a turbo 240 you have a good chance of keeping up. Plus, i don't know how can u make me stop if i tag along at the same speed. Maybe i'm doing a drive to miami from california by myself. who knows. Plus, these guys kept up with the gumball 2001 in their 80s half dead jaguar beater. So i don't see why we can't

Ahh talkin about jackass? Yeah they sorta kept up, well what happened was they caught up at the meet points where they were waited for &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> I think if you had a turbo 240 it would be different. Though you probably wouldnt last the whole race, you would probably either break down or just not be able to keep up with them. The cruising speed is around 160-180... Not too easy to keep up with in the 240. Like I said I did a lot of research, we were very intrested in participating... unfortunately we didnt. So the new plan was to get enough sponsors to buy a skyline <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> , but we havent really started. I dont think we'll compete this year...

Hehe, true. But don't forget that all those turbo ferraris aren't built to be driven 2000 miles in 3 days either <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I would love to do the race especially after watching the movies that inspired it. But simply can't afford to.

Yeah, where you gonna sleep?? yeah, you can sleep in the car, but showers? shits? You don't have a schedule, and you don't know which cities they're going to unless you know someone who's IN the event (they get handouts at each stop telling them where to go next afaik)...

your suggestion that all fast imports (<14sec) doesn't make much sense to me; a drag race is 1/4 mile sprint, this is a nationlong (3000 mile) "sprint" if you may. I can't see a drag car making it, they're fast for 1/4 mile, but I don't think most could keep up for 3000 miles at the level of boos they're running etc. Not to mention "naws".

I don't know... I'm sure a highly modded 240 could keep up, but it would probably require really properly tested wind tunnel stuff (aero kits would probably be killed by bugs stones etc etc and end up falling off) not to mention a BIG turbo to keep up with those superb european-tuned twin turbocharged flat 6s and V12s. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> &nbsp;

sorry, these thoughts just occured to me while lingering on the thought of the Gumball.
