no.. the intake for the sr will only be a short tube, or maybe even only an MAF adapter and Filter. you may be able to put it on with the stock intake piping. not sure without actually seeing the MAF adapter it uses.

Just go with an intake made for the KA, or, if your planning on going SR.. just get a filter and maf adapter. that way you can reuse at least the filter on the SR

Notice he said "SR20DE" and "S14 Q". The NA motor.

It won't fit correctly. Just get an Injen.

my question is why?

why it won't fit ? or why am I thinking about getting an intake piping for the SR20DE.....

The answer for the latter is that I'm getting stuff from japan for cheap and that piping is only like 40$ as opposed to the 200+ $ I would spend on a injen in take....

I have access to a welder and a plasma cutter so I could do minor adjustments if need...all I need to do is get a apexi filter and a adapter for the cone....

oh...ok..you have a welder, then in that case..probably would...of course, if I had a welder, I'd get a couple of 3" pieces, and put the intake into the passenger side airdam...of course, that'd mean extending the MAF wiring over to the other side of the car...unless it comes from that side...

but with a welder, sure, a lot of things are possible...just make sure it's a nice smooth curvy pipe, not angled...as that'd just mess with the airflow. Also, that pipe you have above...to me it looks too angled..like it's a U instead of a L.
