I was looking at buying the Venom VCN-1000 to add a little Nitrous to my KA. My engine has 90k miles on it but has been very well maintained and has like new compression readings with only 1-2 psi difference between cylinders. My question is, has anyone installed this kit on a stock (internally) KA? and if so, what was the outcome..... I read a review on an install on a stock Toyota 22R engine, and they raved about it. Thanks in advance!

Nobody has added nitrous to a KA? I did some more research and found the ZEX kit to be a better system overall and I found it online for $100 less than the Venom kit. ZEX installed this system on a pretty much stock 98 Civic and ran a 13.6 1/4 mile! not bad for $500! It also monitors the O2 sensor and will shut down if the fuel system leans too much.
***OOPS, I wasn't using the search propperly <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> ........never mind........

yeah everybody here is turbo all the way :-)
anyway, I think nitrous is a very good way to go, especially if you like to go to the drag strip and show the hondus and cameros a thing or two.
I just don't have experience on the kits, I was looking into pieceing one together for my car. I was just going to start with the sniper kit since it's cheap
I think they are all pretty much the same, so whatevers cheapest.
However, as far as what the stock internal engine can handle, well I am making about 90hp more then stock with the turbo, so you should be able to do about the same with nitrous.
Figure on the 75-80 shot or something
have fun

I'd get it if i was on a budget. You'll probably love it (who does'nt like 50+ HP with the flick of a switch) Sounds like the company making the kit took everyting into account and its setup good. Couple that with your well mantained engine and I would'nt expect problems.
