I have a 93 240sx and mine did the same thing. Look along the track and open your door if you see the cable drag part of a hook looking thing then its busted and you have to get a new one. THey are about $100usd.

every s13 in the us should have a lifetime warranty on the seatbelts. im scheduled to get mine fixed in a week. call up a dealership and ask.

or you can swap out the crappy/annoying automatic one for the manual ones. I haven't done it but apparently it is very simple and if you pull the motors and crap out you save about 20lbs IIRC. Little tip all the Canadian 240s had the manual ones, ehh. So call up a Canadian junkyard, ehh.
