moon roof broke damnit

hey everybody, so here it is. I was driving down the highway a few days ago, it was a bit chilly out, so I closed the moon roof, and the handle broke, snapped right off. So I called up the Nissan dealership, and they want about $250 for the assembly...which I don't have. So, any ideas where I could get a new moon roof assembly, or at least a replacement handle? Thanks for any help.

Junk yard? try calling different states' junk yards also because it will be a hard one to find.

I broke my handle a while ago and got just the handle itself, cost me $35 or somewhere around that. &nbsp;I dont understand why they said they would have to order the whole thing? &nbsp;Maybe try out internet sites like Courtesy Nissan. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':crazy:'>

I was gonna say the same thing. A whimsy plastic handle dont' cost $200. Maybe you misphrased yourself....

I live in Wyoming, so Salt lake City is about 80miles off. I called the SLC Nissan Dealership, talked to two people, and they said they could only order the entire assembly. So now im pissed. Especially if I could get it for 35bucks. Did you get your handle from the dealership Chew Slice?

My moon roof was shattered when i bought my car so I bought a whole new one with all the hardware... I think I might have an extra handle off the old shattered one at home.. if you don't find one in the next couple weeks, tell me, I should be going home in a few weeks and I'll send you mine.

i called up courtesy nissan, and the best price they could give me for the handle only, was about $60. Which seems pretty damn steep. So if anyone does have an extra handle, they could part with, please email me, and we can work something out. Thanks

I broke mine aroun 4 months ago, just recently I was searching thru a junk yard and found a matching handle in a pulsar. Check ALL nissans w/ a sunroof; chances are w/ such a simple piece you should find it in several differend cars...
