Magnetic screws are a different thread i'm pretty sure, i've tried to get this for it in the past with no go.

They do make magnetic tranny plugs though.

I haven't tried to test fit it on the transmission drain hole yet, but if you purchase a second one and it doesn't fit, send it back and I'll refund the amount paid.

Someone had bought two...one for oil pan and one for the transmission. They could have been member: Stinky_180. They're going to test fit it on. But, like I said in an earlier post, you can purchase two now, and if the transmission doesn't fit, send it back, and I'll refund the 10.00.

Just got confirmation that the oil drain plug's do not fit transmissions. So, to those that bought one for the tranny, you can send one back to the return address, and a refund will be issued.

Got plenty left, only 10.00 shipped!

same question.

also, if so, would it matter if it's auto or manual?

Auto's you just drop the oil pan and then drop a washer magnet in the bottom of the pan.

You need to find 1/2" magnetic plugs for the Manual Tranny and Diff.

With all due respect, the gearbox and rear diff drain plugs are already magnetised from the factory.

This plug fits in the gearbox filler plug, gearbox drain plug, rear diff filler plug, and rear diff drain plug. I have confirmed this on an S13.

I need 1 for my S13, 1 for a 1995 Supra TT and 1 for a 1995 GS300. I hope you have ones that fit the Supra and Lexus. Thanks

You don't have to. The OEM drain plug for the diff is already magnetised, but it's a good idea to replace the drain plug anyhow. I also use the drain plug in the filler plug as well. They're all the same. The only difference is the filler plug isn't magnetised.

I cleared payment for 2 drain plugs BTW. Thanks.

From here: http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=168561
Another thing you might want to do at this point is take the bottom drain plug off the stock diff and put it on the new one at the filler point. The bottom plug has a magnet on it that picks up metal shavings floating around in the case, it's not really necessary but since your throwing the other diff out anyhow you might as well keep the magnet for the new one to help keep stuff from floating around the case.
