yeah its my first bike. i thought i would start with a older bike to learn on so it is a good bike for me.

You chose a good bike to learn on. I believe it's the Deltabox I chassis (the one before the R6 was introduced, which uses the Deltabox II), but it's a very nice bike. It doesn't have loads of power, but you don't need that for your first bike. Good choice.

I will be posting pictures of my new toy as well after I pick it up on Saturday!!! That is, if I can get a hold of a digi cam...

**Edit** Looked at the picture and there in big letters is "Deltabox" I should pay more attention.

Man I had pictures of that bike in my highschool books. Many an hour daydreaming to pics of it.

Good luck.

I am going to attend a motorcycle course in a local college. It is a three day course. Friday night is classroom, Sat and Sun are track.

StanBo, are you in VA? That's exactly how it was for me. I took a 3 day course at a local college (well, it wasn't so local because the local one was filled up). First night was in class...and days two and three were track...

Very nice bike. Good handling and smooth powerband.

I've been riding for 25 years. I have a mint '86 Yamaha V-Max. Fastest production bike for 10 years running and virtually unchanged. Of course, it doesn't do $h!t in a corner...strictly straight-line bike. Here is a pic of a '97 for reference:
