View Full Version : HELP! replacing my head.

Just for the flamers, I did SEARCH and came up with nothing.

i broke some valves on my s13 redtop sr20det and just went out a bought a replacement head. I have the old head out and the new head is ready for install, im just waiting on the new head gasket and i need to know the Torque Specifications for the head and upper intake manifold. and what are the best ways to break it all back in and what problems i might come across...Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give.

look in the FSM it's in there.

Yea read FSM and make sure if you are using new head studs like ARP the torque specs are different.

link me, i found nothing, or if someone knows can just tell me that would be awesome. head gasket comes in tomarrow.

Well do you have ARP or stock head bolts? That might help people answer your question.

Also, the gasket material you are using makes a difference too.

Stock head bolts and stock SR20 head gasket.
