Could someone please inform me of what individual throttle bodies are? For example: advantages vs disadvantages.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Instead of one big intake pipe going into one big throttle body and from there branching off into peices to go into the engine, its 4 completely separate throttle body's, each their own separate intake.

Yeah...big time. I've talked to ppl who did this. Just the intake(s) and computer alone cost about $3k...not including labor.

Where'd your friend get his setup from? and what company makes individual throttle body kits for the 240?

They're made by size. I think you'd have to get a custom-made intake manifold and piping. Keep in mind that a 240 probably does not have enough room underneath the hood to house 4 different air filters and 4 different intake pipes. The factory throttle body is 60mm (iirc).

could you make 2 throttle bodies? 1 for 2 cylinders? Therefore, you need only 2 filters and whatnot? This can't be legal for streets...

I recall someone planning to fit this on his SOHC KA24E. I don't know if he ever completed upon it, but it's on the net somewhere.
