a local friend has one in his s14

one of the complications as far as i can see is the speedometer doesn't work
another complication is it doesn't plug right in
the final complication is that it doesn't fit in the damn dashboard, unsurprisingly

it fitting like a factory isnt a huge concern. its more the sensors work. rpm, speed, fuel, temp. any fixes for the speedometer. something about the s15 speed sensor in the rear.

Different signal voltage from the sensor so its going to be either off or wont even register. Also the sensor for the S15 is in the diff, not the tranny.

I know that the car that I bought, had a s15 tranny in it with the speedo hooked up to an S14 cluster, the speedo was double what the car was really doing if thats any pertinent info.

you can get everything to work with good wiring - hardest part is speed sensor. I think you'd need a S15 helical (sp?) diff with the speed sensor there. I could be wrong about that.

here are pics of my buddy's S15 cluster (in a '96):

That's before he put the trim back on. Trim fits *ok*... there are two small gaps to the left and right, not too noticeable.
