Hey guys,

Ever since I purchased my car, the windshield wiper motor or whatever that gets the fluid on my front windshield doesn't work.

I checked the fluid and its full. I notice that the tank is next to my right front tire.

I already purchased a motor from a junkyard, and it's being shipped over.

Swampign the old motor for the one I purchased; Would this be a hard thing to do ?

HAs anyone done it before?
I ordered a service manual direct from Nissan, so I think that may help.

No. It is a really easy job to do. If you have two motors down there, one is probably for the rear washer fluid, so make sure you change the right one. Basically you just pull the motor out of its plastic mounts as it is just shoved into the tank and sealed with a rubber lining and this weird paste stuff that seals it up. You can just disconnect the electrical plug, disconnect the fluid tube and pull it out. Watch out for all the washer fluid that will start draining out. Plug it with your thumb or something, or you can let it drain into a bucket and poor it back in later. Push the new motor in, put the plug in and then put the water tube back on. Really simple!

Might take a bit for it to start going again. (Just make sure you hear the whirring sound so you know it is working) The tube might get air in it.. so just keep pulling the washer switch until all the air gets out.

Voila!

Thanks for the tips on replacing the wiper fluid motor! I am having the same trouble with my 95 240sx (which I'm going to be selling in spring :( :( :(    :( :( :( ). I'll give this a try and hopefully it will solve my problem! I just hope the wiper fluid motor isn't expensive! ;)

But thanks for the tips :)
