Engine noise when turning in 1st gear.

Hello all!

I own a 98 Kouki and whenever I am in 1st gear in the parking lot, the engine seems to lug especially when I turn. It doesn;t happen when I first start up the car. It seems to only occur once everything is warmed up and I am returning home. I don't know if it is a power steering problem but it makes a dragging rubbing noise when I turn in the parking lot and I can hear my engine getting louder. The problem does sound vague but let me know if there is anything I can possibly check. Thanks!

check the power steering fluid and power steering belt tension.

any other weird things happening besides dragging, rubbing? engine getting loud you mean idle up?

yeah the engine does get a little louder when I seem to pull the steering wheel left or right-kinda wierd...I thought it was the tire rubbing but it wasn't
