I need to know how much you guys would pay for a ka24de with 144k miles from a 93'  planning to  swap it  in my 90'.  would you recommend getting this engine with so many miles on it...?  i dont wanna install everything and find out its a dud...  any imput is apreciated thanks...

$400-500    Thats a lot of miles on the engine, but if its in good shape (compression and leak down test) then go for it.

well here is my two cents...

i think since you will have it out of the car you sould rebuild it regardless of the shape it is in... &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> upgrade it alittle or what ever else you will do

BECAUSE man would that suck if you got it in and then it did not work or needed to be rebuilt in a year or so. check it over... if it looks good get it. i would say $300-400 but i do not know i could be way off and it could change from place to place... oh well...

If i were to buy the engine... how would i go about checking compression and getting a leak down test before i purchase the engine?

and yea maybe i should rebuild it... anyone have any info on this.. where to get all the parts and all?

i was just informed that the engine is in good condition but the knock sensor needs to be changed... anyone by any chance know what that is???
