Hoping below or around $150 but being BW, $150 is a piece of cake.

If anyone out there interested of working with one of the film crew to make a DVD out of this, let me know...

Basically we need people and camera to set them up on peoples car. We need bulletcam, suction tripod etc....

We want to make a 2 hour DVD out of this thing!!!!!

I guess new people and people that has never been to Buttonwillow doesn't know how this work.

Its a real race track where you run all day non-stop. There's going to be groups but you dont get on the track one by one. Its a group of cars and drifting the whole track.

No such thing is wait for BW except for change groups.

And for 150 bucks at BW is a piece of cake. The track is super awesome!

Search on Youtube, you'll see tons of my vids there.

ButtonWillow is huge. Even with all slots filled, it will be hard for the average driver to use ALL of his track time. There is so much, you will get tired. Bring WATER, GATORADE, STRIPPERS, any thing to keep you full of energy!

Yes. I've run the track with 80+ people in the past with 4 groups. It isn't that big of a deal. I've seen the track before with 100+ people. hahahha

You obviously haven't run BWillow... hot lap drifting with your whole group on track... this isn't some parking lot event with single car runs :2f2f:

PLENTY OF RUNTIME GUARANTEED!!!

You'll probably run out of tires before you can complain about not having enough seat time!

Ive done plenty of full track/hot lap drifting.

its the same way we run HTM at willow springs.

Im just saying, waiting 2 hours before running again can get boring.

With 4 run groups, i would guess 3 outtings per group throughout the day. (3 hrs to go through all 4 groups if everything goes super smooth, which it never does)

still plently of time, and most will run out of tires before the end of the day.

mandatory breaks give you a chance to fix stuff, change stuff, swap stuff, eat stuff, take pictures of stuff, and talk to stuff (or people) without wasting track time, since you can't drive during that time anyway.

DUBCITY
05-16-2007, 12:27 PM
yeah breaks are great. Not saying we should be running for the whole day.

but 2 hrs is a long time. and when you break something on your car or blow up your tires in the first 10 minutes of your run group, that means you only have 2 more times out.

im only speaking from experience.

charlie usually allows 3 groups max at HTM and we run for 40 min each.
that means we wait 1-1.5 hrs in between groups, this is more than enough time to fix anything that is fixable at the track, and still seems like forever sometimes.

I know this is the first time doing this type of event at BW, just trying to help out.

This is not the first time. I've done 4 groups in Buttonwillow with my Private-Events, not just once but plenty of times. By the time lunch time people wants to go home since they run out of tires.

And comparing BW to HTM is like... I don't even know. BW is just a fucking awesome track. Nothing against that track but when I drove it with SV, shit was like ok... that was it?

Are you doing the math right?

If we have 4 groups divided in 2 tracks, east and west. Two groups switching every 40 minutes...

Do the math again. :)

People are going to wish that we have a 2 hour downtime when they are out there.

You need a roll bar with a sidebar. This is for tandem rounds only, if you are confident that you will go on to top 8 for tandem rounds then I suggest you get a roll bar/roll cage with a side bar.

Please set up a gangster initiation cone 2 miles before the offramp to separate the men from the boys. It'll give people a good perspective about what it takes to be a true BW gangsta.

Time to let your balls drop and do BW like it's supposed to.

So damn cool that it's a pro-am event because this one will have some good competition.

i think thats what proam means, for example last year all the west coast pro ams were nationals qualifiers. pro am means professional/amatuer, but i think if you called it a pro am and didnt have nationals qualifiers in conjunction with the comp it would mean it in a different sense. so saying its a pro am and you get to go to nationals if you place is a tautology basically.

Okay sure whatever... I really wasn't asking Al I was making a statement... just added "correct Al" cuz he always has something to say...

Just to be clear if you read the R&R for FDProAM...
+ Each regional organization will host their own competition series ranging from 3-6 events.
+ The top drivers from each region will be eligible to compete at the Pro-Am Drifting Championship Event held on November 10-12, 2007 at Laughlin, NV.

At this event you just have to win/show/place (maybe only the winner not sure) and you go straight to Nationals... no need to participate in the competition series events as mentioned above.

the nationals has a ladder system.. so i don't know why you're saying the winner will get to the nationals by doing one event. they might get an FD license, that's up to FD. but for nationals, you will need to earn your invitation. i don't see how an invitation to nationals will be given in one event, where everyone else goes thru the series.

We've already talk about this over the phone couple of days ago...
You know exactly what's happening and it seems like you are acting like its a surprise...

There's already a few with DD event that the winner will go straight to National. Since Dshowoff was canceled at AMP, it only make sense to make the socal vs norcal as a PROAM event, it was going to happen anyways...

It's only fair to have it anyways at a dopest track in california, middle of socal and norcal. It also gives tons of drivers a chance and an opportunity that can't make it every single event that a proam series are doing. Why not give a chance to other drivers from other organization such as DxB and DB since we/they are not part of the PROAM series...

Lets give an opportunity to everyone...

After all we're all about drivers right?

Doesn't matter what you know or don't know... it's done and you decided not to participate. Don't get your panties in a bunch man... we're doing this for everyone to just have fun and so that there is a replacement op/event/comp for Driftshowoff that was cancelled where the winner was supposed to get the invite to Nationals just like Al said. We were approached... not like we were out there looking.

The winner will earn their invitation by winning this comp... simple as that, if you don't want to support the event that's fine... then we'll just have it as planned with the people/orgs that are supporting DxB, DB and DA.

It would be cool to have your org reppin' but no big deal if you don't want to.
