I have a 96 240 and I have been having this problem with my coolant temp. sensor. When I accelerate or go full throttle the temp gauge goes down as if its getting colder. I dont know why it does this but its weird. Has anyone else ever had this problem? It kinda twitches. What makes it do this?

You're for sure throwing a code 13? Maybe there's some sort of electrical short or something, or your sensor is faulty? Or the system isn't bled?

maybe cause when you accelerate it turns the water pump faster which recirculates cooler coolant over the sensor.

that or maybe you have a faulty sensor/wiring

Or a huge air pocket.

Or a huge air pocket.
That probably would be my guess as well. Try bleeding the system again before tearing out your hair looking for wiring faults.

Should I put the car on an incline to bleed it?

Just run it 15-20 minutes with the radiator cap or bleeder screw off and the heat on full blast in the car. Shouldn't need to be on an incline, we don't have those in Florida.
