View Full Version : Removing the seatbelt wiring harness????

ok i have completly gutted my 240 and noticed i have that ugly seat belt harness that originally sat under the center councel and i was just curious if anyone has completly removed this ugly sight???? if they have can i cut all the wires and completly remove that whole harness or are there some wires that have to stay?? thank you in advance!!!

Yes, someone has removed the auto seatbelt wiring, like I have for instance.

As per the harnesses that plug directly into the seatbelt ECU and mechanism, you can tear them out of the harness and follow them to the source. You may remove the wires but do not remove the harness where they're attached to because the module controls other parts.

Namely, the auto seatbelt system connects to power and the timer. FSM - BF section will describe the system.

Fuckin strip that shit out of your car. I removed the entire bit.

Actually, Im lying. I rewired my entire car from scratch.

God i love saying that. I feel so fucking powerful, like god.. but just a bit less powerful.
