I bought my Zenki last year but just noticed under the driver seat I have a parallel, Cat 5 and S Video cables that peak through my carpet. What would these be used for? Should I just remove my carpet and see where it connects to?

someone probably had a dvd player and maby some tv screens in it. id just pull the carpet and remove that garbage. you probably wont have to remove the whole thing, just the side by it

thanks.

No one would know except for possibly the person who installed the cables. Sometimes though, people put in stuff and still don't know what they do.

I would suggest checking where the cables go and see how bad it is.

So I yanked it today and I found about 5 feet of parallel cable tucked under the seat and near the fuse box near the kick panel. I ended up cutting my cat 5 cable since it went behind the dash and I want about to pull that off. Talk about weight reduction!

Did they all end in the same area? Sounds like somebody had a datalogger in your car... anything else make you think it might have been a track car at some point?

Or somebody thought it's be baller to have a logger in their street car :keke:

Ah yes, datalogging is only useful for a track car, not like most people don't have a street car they take to the track, or perhaps they feel the need to tune their car properly? Loggin' is so balla

I'm still trying to see the point to this thread.

1) OP buys a car, used, with maybe even more than one original owner.
2) Finds random non OEM cables in car.
3) Asks members on here, who do not know him, the car, or it's history, what those cables are for.

Would you like us to also foretell your future?

Did you call the previous owner and ask him? There's a possibly it could have been for in-car audio/video. But I would refer back to "ask the previous guy"

Those cables are for the voice activated command control.
Some are for the Knight Industries Two Thousand service connector.
