nismo 1.5 way lsd

so i bought this off someone. i've had it on for about 2 months. anyways what i want to is, is it normal that it is super quiet? like i didn't notice i had an lsd when i put it in compared to my open diff. of course both tires spin now but im just curious if people who have this lsd hear any noticable sounds? i guess it's not a problem but i hope i didn't get screwed and got a vlsd? is there a test besides opening up the pumpkin? :confused:

from what I understand nismo ones are very quiet. als odepends on the type of fluid that is in it.

ya, nismo's are extremely quite. if you want load lsd, tomei or kaaz

Like everyone said, the newer Nismo 1.5 "street" are pretty quiet in comparison to most diffs. It will probably get a little bit louder as the viscosity breaks down when it comes time to change fluid again.

But like !Zar! said, if in doubt, you'll have to take the rear cover off and check it out to confirm.

ok gotcha. this was my first mechanical/clutch type lsd so didn't know what to expect. thanks guys. i think that i would like something a little more louder so i know it's working all the time so next time im probably oing to get a tomei.
