I got a exaust ticket and it's because it was too loud. Since I get off work around 1 or 2 am, it's very quite and you could hear my car from far away.
Is there anything or anyway that'll make the noise go down?
Cause I dont have the stock one and I dont want to spend some cash on something I already have.

find out the local noise regulations and call the manufacturer and see if it is within those guidelines, if it is, the next time that happens tell the cop to lick you're balls cause you're legal, and have paperwork to prove it, if it's not, get a silencer, i think they run like 45 bucks, not all too sure where to get one though

get a HKS Sport, if you have a s13.

or add a resonator/pre muffler

Noise pollution laws are not the same as CARB paperwork (which is also useless anywhere outside of CA). Example: I have a 1983 Chevy Malibu station wagon w/ the stock exhaust. Legal, right? Not if it makes too much noise (i.e., holes, cracks, etc.).

i know, what i meant by calling the manufacturer is to find out what the decibel level is, not just if it's CARB legal, i would think they would send you a copy of a test they ran to prove that, but now that i think about it, i'm just being hopeful

I understand what you are driving at and it may be worth a shot, but generally, paperwork will not satisfy a decibel issue. Anyone with an aftermarket fart can can tell you that after a year or less, they get louder. After two years, they are obnoxious! Since the officer generally has discretion as to what is obnoxious, he will win in court.

Here is another thought stay out of WOT. Or be selective when you do. 3am in a residental sectrion will get you alot more attention than 3pm on the open highway.
