noise in the back

ok is this a problems with ALL s13's or just mine...because my old s13 also did the same thing

there is some noise like a creaky door coming from the back of the car everytime i go over a bump....ive looked at everything

i was thinking maybe it was the hatch bouncing up and down in its locking mechanism but its not ,

maybe some loose bolts on the struts? nope

and the car is lowered on Tokico Blues w Eibach Sportlines...

My guess is if you have a sunroof, you just have the typical chassis creak that they all have. If you install some sort of strut tower bar, most of the noise will go away.

i have a strut bar for the engine...i was thinking the same thing...chassis creak but it sounds like some sort of springs or something , metal to metal

Maybe check your strut bolts to see if they are loose.

My S14 makes the same kind of sound when i go over speed bumps. I've heard it's the subframe but i don't know how valid that is

where do i adjust that...i am like 50% sure its the hatch bouncing up and down...

How do you fix that subframe squeak mine has it bad. Has subframe spacers though.

LOL. I have some CRAZY sunroof squeaks.

I put vaseline on the rubber around my car and it gets rid of the squeeking for a while. Just reapply when it starts again. Not like caked on though. I've tried silicone spray but that only lasts for like a day or two.

lol. The weather stripping around the hatch, doors, sunroof. Stuff like that.

lol oh...nah it sounds too springy , u can hear the nose like 3-4 times after u hit a bump

It's for certain the hatch, especially if it's the new one I sold you. You know the one that you bought with the exhaust that you still owe me for.

No, I mean the exhaust that came off an S13 that you apparently could not install. Had you mentioned you had a problem I could have gotten it back and sold it to someone else instead of loosing my ass on it.

I had a sound kinda like that. ended up being the baffle in the gas tank. i just ripped it out and now the sound is gone... sometimes i can hear the gas slosh abit though...
