April 15th will be the official kick off competition for the DRIFT x BATTLE Amateur Competition Series. DRIFT x BATTLE is proud to host this event open to all amateur drivers. Any driver that is interested in testing their skills against some of the best amateur drivers is invited to participate. Our time will be totally different from our last comp event. We pretty much tried to learn as much as we can on our last practice event of how we are going to handle our competition event.

No down time (maybe 20 minutes for tire change).
The event will probably be from 9-8PM so we should have plenty of practice.

But note, this is a competition. Most competition does not give you a lots of practices but we will do our best for you guys to learn the track lay outs.

While I was in class, I was thinking of how everyone was representing drifting at Altamont and stuff while I was in class and how I could have been there. But what difference does it make? Karin Rivard said she and her husband purchased their property, which is adjacent to the racetrack, in 1999 and moved into their home — the front door is about 1,000 feet from the speedway — in December 2005. She said the noise from the track is so loud on race days they can't go outside or sleep.

The AMP event is only free for those that hold a competition license from a sanctioning body, AMP or DRIFTxBATTLE. If you don't have one you will have to pay $50 for an AMP license at the gate.

You will get a DRIFTxBATTLE license as soon as you register for one of our competitions. It's included in the cost of reg, AMP will honor this license for any of their events and a license will be required for all of their practices.

A crack that is less than an inch long and isn't spreading is ok... nothing larger. If I hit it with my fist and it spreads... you fail. Simple as that. I wouldn't even hit it though... because chances that something else fails is high. Remind me to bring the Tech stickers... I forgot to give em back to you JayP

We miss $50 drift nights too... but it's really not going to happen and that was back in the ages of drift fanboys. Now we've got tons of people that want to try or drive in the area... check out what happens when you try to arrange a so called "free"/low cost event... you get tons of people showing up and nobody gets any runs... well maybe 2-3 the whole time.

Our pricing isn't because we're the only game in town... it's what we incurr without being in the red. We always give back to the drivers if/when we can. We're doing our best guys... right now you've got to understand there isn't an abundance of venues to go around in NorCal so we have to pay accordingly. In turn so do you, we'd like to offer these kind of events but it's really not possible.

I know there are a lot of you that appreciate all of the time/effort/sacrifice the DRIFTxBATTLE team/staff puts in to make these events happen (we don't need to... All of us are professionals that make good money and don't mind driving to SoCal for events) but it's posts like these that really make us reconsider especially when you're up late at night making sure things are straight for an event that will always have a few negative participants in it with their opinions and such.

I'd like to ask that all of you to keep all of your NCDA or other org inquiries in specified threads as well as negative remarks to yourself. We always ask for your constructive criticism and will continue to in order to make our events better for you!

When you drivers and vendors come in front, they will sign a waiver and tell them your name.

Great event Jay. I was'nt even planning on driving, but im glad I did. It was interesting seeing the differences in drifting an fc vs a fd. I think that car has potential if I eliminate the rear steering, get some coilovers, and it would probibly help if I had a front sway bar. lol

Also, to DriftxBattle, great event! You guys tried very hard to keep on time and it seemed like everything went the way you guys wanted it to. One thing I like about DB is that everyone is super cool, all staffs knew what they were doing and I thought it was very professional how everyone had a specific task to do, not running around to ask question from this person or this person. It was also sweet to get free stuff.

Al, good thing you guys didn't go with the banner you showed me.. This one was way better. It has a lot to do with colors. The other one was dope, but the color was bleh....

I'm sorry I had to shut mike down... I noticed he was smoking out of the front... next run he layed down HELLA smoke... he tried to repair it but the run after that it was even worse.
