i was wondering, would it be unsafe if my rims didnt sit on my bolt on wheel spacer, but sat on my wheel stud instead?
i have 15mm bolt on wheel spacers and the wheel studs i bolted it onto sticks out a bit too much, causing the rim to sit on the wheel stud, instead of on the wheel spacer.
btw, i have 4lug universal rims, so theres not that spaced part like how other rims have so the wheel stud wouldnt touch the rim... heres a pic.

if its unsafe, i was thinking of just getting a 5mm slip on spacer and sandwich it. would that be unsafe?

thanx in advance

even tho I wouldnt suggest any of this,

putting a spacer would be better,

but still......

damn so jenky

majorly dangerous...cut the studs with some sort of cut-off wheel so the wheel will sit flush against the spacer...that is seriously asking for some trouble...not to mention the wheel wouldn't roll ture...don't kill your self for uber JDM flushness

I wouldn't run it like that. Or with the extra spacer. Get some new wheels is my vote.

dude i rolled like that but my studs were about half that length didnt come loose but i only drove for a couple days.

if you want i got picks of mine cut.

and if you end up cutting them make sure you put a lug nut on, the cut it and then back the lug nut off. itll make it so you dont ruin your threads

alright, thanx for the help guys. didnt expect someone to reply so fast.

so would it be a good idea to just sandwich the 5mm slip on spacer between the bolt on wheel spacer and the rotor?

is there even a rotor on there?

anyway, don't do it that way.

dude....that looks like more than 5 mms of wheel stud stickin out....cut and grind the studs flush with the spacer...as mizizak said...cut and grind with the lug nut on and after you finish just back the lug off...voila you're now golden....

Yes def do not do it this way, I had 25 mm spacers, and the stock studs barely touched my rims. I didn't even notice, until my wheel feel off when I was driving my car haha

wait a minute, wheres the brake rotor, dont tell you plan on placing the spacer behind the rotor. it wont work, the caliper will not line up with the rotor. if you place the spacer over the rotor like it should be the thickness of the rotor should fill in the remaining stud.

sorry for the ignorant question. :)

heres the last question i wanna ask. i dont wanna go and start another thread, so ill just ask here.

the brake rotor is there, i just took a pic of it at an angle, so the calipers hid the rotor. i know better than to place the spacers behind the rotors, so you dont have to warn me about that :)

go to your local tire shop...and get a set of basic 12x1.25 open ended lug nuts

i dont think they work, because there wont be any space to fit the socket. thats why they made the lock with 4 holes with the key having 4 little rods sticking out.

You can only run them like this if it doesn't block your wheel Some wheels have grooves in these areas on the back of the hubs of the wheels. Some don't.

But yeah, it looks like the rotor is missing.

yea i know what hes talking about
thats why i stated that my rims are 4 lug universal, which means there isnt those groves the studs can go in.
thanx for the help guys, i think i found someone locally who has those lug nuts/key
thanx again guys :)

no because i need it for inner clearance
i think imma just cut the wheel studs so they dont get in the way.
