View Full Version : Will a dohc nissan altima wiring harness work in an S13?

i did a search and couldnt find any results for my question but has anyone tried or knows if using the wiring harness off the dohc altima (93-97) would work when doing a dohc swap into an 89-90 s13?

too different in cars... fwd rwd. intake mani total diffrent...

ur better off tryin to make ur sohc work on ur sohc

No it will not work cause the sensor for the transmission might be different. Also year of the altima might not be running a ignition coil like most ka24de. So i would say find a s13.If you come by a s14 wiring harness it could work too if you have a s14 maf and i think distributor.

I have not tried it, but a wiring harness is just a bunch of plugs and wiring tied together. You can make any wire harness work in any car if you have the right plugs and reroute the wires correctly.

If you want plug-and-play, then no.

thanks for the info i kind of figured with the difference in fwd and rwd but i figured i would make sure anyway. Finding uncut wiring harnesses for dohc is tough enough but you can find altimas all day... *sigh* wishful thinking

i have your answers, i just bought a 93 hb with a 94 altama ka24de and it ran ok when i first bought it then it broke, i change the coil, plugs and now its not holing any compression, it drove good somwhat, trust me i thought it was a good idea but now it sucks, so im looking for A KA24DE 91*
