I'm looking to purchase either the standard h4 or hi/low beam h4 kit. I checked your site and from what I saw the h4 hi/low bulbs come with a glare shield on them. Do the standard h4 low beam bulbs also come with a glare shield?

Casper electronics sells this light shield:

https://www.casperselectronics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=103016&Category_Code=

Do you have anything similar? Or should I order a kit with d2s bulbs from you and a light shield from them?

Sorry for all the questions, but I don't want to retrofit an hid kit on my s14 without the light shield. It makes a BIG difference IMHO

Yes we do carry H3c bulbs but they are based on special order basis which will take about 1-2 weeks to order. Colors are restricted to normal colors like 4300k - 12000k

S14 uses H4 low beam and 9005 high beam. Which you cannot get Hi/Lo beam together. However, if you want hi/lo HID, let's say a S13 with H4 conversion, we have a telescoping HID which will have high and low beam HID in one bulb.

Yellow/Green HID will cost you $190.00 shipped (+3% paypal fees if u wanna pay thru paypal)

S14 uses H4 low beam and 9005 high beam. Which you cannot get Hi/Lo beam together.

Wait, doesn't the zenki s14 use an h4 bulb (which is a dual filament halogen bulb, iirc) in conjunction with the 9005? If so, your h4 hi/lo beam hid kit should plug right in, correct?

And when the high beams are switched on in a zenki s14 the hid bulb will switch off and the h3 halogen high beam will switch on inside the low beam housing and the 9005 bulb will switch on inside the high beam housing as well, correct?

Sorry for all the questions! I'll give you guys a call tomorrow but please type out the answers here and share the knowledge!

From my understanding the S14 Zenki should have 2 different bulbs on High beam and low beam. Which is H4 Low and 9005 Hi, they are not suppose to in the same housing.

JDM Zenki low beam will use H4 single after searching on the forum. However I am not able to find the bulb size for the high beam.

zenki s14 uses dual filament hi/lo beam. It has a 3 prong connector. 1 ground 1 positive for low beam and 1 positive for high beam. When the high beams are switched on the high beam filament in the h4 bulb switches on and so does the 9005 bulb. They work in conjunction.

So let me get this straight: You have 2 different h4 hid setups: A telescoping h4 hid bulb with hid low and high beams, and you also have an h4 bulb with hid low beams and conventional h3 high beams?

H3 kit is $200.00 shipped within US. Sorry we do not carry 50w setup.

We do carry H3c bulbs (color range from 4300k to 12000k). I would recommend 4300k or 6000k for the most legal color. If you want a hint of blue 8000k is the way to go. Anything higher than 8000k is blueish and if you are in So Cal it is not a very good idea you are probably asking for trouble :whip:

Sorry I do not have anyone with that setup yet. However I have pics up there that is with TSX retro projectors on his Maxima

Hey, Ive ordered a few kits from you guys, and currently have the 12,000k kit on my 2002 Lincoln LS. I was wondering if I could get another 12,000k kit for my foglights, which the link you posted lists as 9145 bulbs. Do you guys have something that would work on that bulb size? Ive tried searching other places, and they list it as both a 9005 or an H10, but I figured you guys would know best.

Hit me back with a PM asap so I can get 'em ordered.

9145=H10

This is a rare application and we do not have it in stock. It will take approx. 7-10 business days for the special order and let us know if you are interested. The price will be the same $175.00 shipped

as for bulb confirmation..

this is how you wire them.

and a pic i drew for help

please notice that the high and low beam are on the same bulb.

thus you need the h4 hi/lo.

if you think the inner lights are the high beams youre mistaken. they are h3c driving lights.

someone wired yours wrong if they dont work.

I thought you said u have nothing for 98 s14 kouki?........

if you do have something im interested in the low beam pls PM me on available colors

and where is the safest place to put the ballast etc?

from what i understand plug and play means i take off the bulb in my low beam and plug that harness into the ballast?

how do i adjust the beam correction after i put in the lights?

and say if i were to take 6000k and 8000k , the higher K level will not affect the lifespan of the HID right?

pls let me know as i would like to order 1 set for my 98 240sx

Reading from above, I thought you were asking if we have extra pics for Kouki 240SX. So I said "no" back then. For sure we have HID kit for Kouki 240SX and we have the whole range of colors (From 3000k up to 12000k to special colors)

If you want a 6000k or 8000k, it will cost you $175.00 and higher Ks will not affect the lifespan of the HID set. It will only be the color and lumens difference.

Plug and play means removing your stock halogen bulbs, install the HID bulbs into the light housing, connect the HID bulbs to the ballast and the ballast to the light socket. If you want to install the relay which is included, there may or may not be rewiring depends on application. We are working on a how-to on our site, you can check that later on

Thanks

thanks for the reply JRT , really want to get a set. But there is not any answer regarding the two questions below

how do i adjust the beam correction after i put in the lights since i'm putting into OEM halogen projectors?( how do i determine if i need adjustment and how do i adjust it to the correct level?)

and where is the safest most reliable place to place the ballast? and what does the relay do if i wired it or if i dont wire it. why a guy here was saying that the kit needs to be hooked up to the battery as well? so do i have to re-wire for my 98 240sx low beam?

and any picture to show cut-off on a OEM halogen projector? i dont want to blind oncoming traffic

pls let me know man , looking forward to get a set .

I have seen 12000 K on my buddy's car before and it was a violet or mauve color with a hint of blue. Why is your kit blue for 12000K?

I know that it is a diffrent brand, but the K should be the same kind of output color spectrum. I'm lost

Dood - you only hook up the relay if you have Hi/lo setup on your hid's. If not then you just hook up as directed. Seriously if you really want to know where the safest place to mount them and im just telling you what i did and i dont even know if its "safe" im just assuming - I put one against the inner side of the passenger fender in the engine bay, so basically its real close to the battery but not touching. The wires were to short to mount anywere further and i dont want to be stupid and mount on the radiator or condenser like some folks i hear about. I drilled a hole through the metal behind the headlight and ran it through. Electrical taped it up and made it look real clean and out of the way. The other one on the drivers side is another story. I had to mount it further up near the wheel well hump. It mounted right there using the bolt from the coolant resovior to hold it and then just used zipties to hold it in place. Then ran the wire behind in between the intake box and resv. to again the hole i drilled and presto. I honestly dont know where everyone else mounted them but i did make it daim well clean. If you want to peep how i did it. I can take pics.

i ziptied it to the inner passenger fender, real snug and tight. The other one is just that, just that bolt and two zipties did a real nice job of keeping it done. It is plug and play, i just made sure no moisture would get in, or so i think it wouldnt if i e-taped it plus taping the rest of the wires together really blended them in making it clean and not so obvious. I'll take pics soon when it gets darker.

"Don't expect to just tap into your stock halogen harness; the wiring isn't built for HID power.
HID ballast uses high voltages on startup. This is why an HID harness is needed."

I found the above statement from

http://www.phihoang.com/s14hid.htm

So for a 1998 240sx , if you just plug it into the halogen harness will it damage anything? i'm a bit concerned about the plug and play system. are additional harness included if we decided to re-wire it like the website shown?

Buffalo daughter: thanks for your pictures man... are those 6000K? very nice car man...... so u just tape it for tidyness? can u refer to the website above. just dont real understand why it say HID should be re-wired all togehter instead of hooking it up to the halogen socket

We supplied the relay to hook up the HID directly to your battery so if you are concern about messing your stock harness this is the way to go.

Hooking up the relay is not very hard also. We are working on another walk thru about it and we will update it on our site very soon.

Thank you

well what i want to know mainly is , is there anyway to proof that plugging in directly wont hurt anything? thats my main question =).

Honestly I am no electrical parts specialist I cannot say they will not hurt anything but based on my experience with HIDs I have no problem whatsoever with hooking it up directly to the stock headlight socket. I had installed many HIDs w/o the relay and never had problems.

However, if possible, I suggest hooking it up with the relay it will put out more constant power for the ballast and the bulbs.

Those headlights are HIGH BEAMS. Not low beams which most people are buying their HIDs for.

The picture I quoted was from LOW beams which had almost no glare at all.

Get your facts straight, you're ruining your rep.

I didn't know we all need a reason to get HID's. I just wanted to get the extra glare. It's awesome like a mirror with sunlight to your eyesockets.

Hello Ricks15,

You will first need to convert your pop up housing to H4 housing (You can buy those on ebay like $25-30) and then use our H4 bulb size HID.

I got the lights in today, they look just like the ones in the pictures, haha! I plugged one in and it even fits through the stock hole in the headlight and everything (I wasn't sure what to expect). Great improvement over stock for sure! When I get them installed for real tomorrow I'll post up some pictures.
