well, guys as the topic says im in need of a ka24de...i would like the obd1 (91-95)....i also would like it to have good compression...great condition..no leaks or burn any fluids...finally i need it near the chicago area doesnt have to be in chicago could be with in a 4hr drive radius....so i could just pick it up...i dont have enough money for shipping....thanks

I don't know what your sitution is. But, I have a ka24de motor and transmission from my car that you can have. Just pick it up. I am sure it needs rebuit. It was running when I pulled it out. So you can rebuild it while driving yours. Anyway I am in STL area.

Like I said it probable needs rebuild. It has about 180K mi on it. The price you will like.

Its Free, just get it out of my garage. I don't need it, and I like to help people out.

Now if you want to give me some money for it, I'll take it :D , I could use it to put back into my car. I still got a lot of stuff that needs worked on.

how bad is the condition?...i feel silly asking this coz its free already but i was wondering does it leak? or burn oil?...i know it sound retarded coz its already got 180k...but from the sound of things it seems like ur motor is better than my 135k motor in my car...

Hey I don't know. I bought the car knowing I was going to take out the motor. I started to drive it from KC to STL. But, I trailered it instead. I started it and drove it on and off the trailer, and it didn't smoke. The girl I bought it from said she was driving back and forth from college and it went out on her. What she discribed was the fuel filter. I changed it and it started right up. So, don't depend on it being a working motor. I would just take the motor, put in new rings and lower bearings ( I am looking a low cost) or just do a total rebuild on it while driving your other motor. Then when its done just swap them out.

yea thats what i thought...id have to think about it coz ur all the way in stl...its a bit of a drive...u know...but i would definitely like to have it especailly coz its free...gotta love the free stuff

wait i just mapquested stl and its not as far as i thought it was...its only 4.5 hrs...a girl used to own the motor?....so is it safe to say it wasnt really beat on?...is it 5speed?

I would say it was not beat on. Yes it is a 5speed and its still attached to the engine. You can get it during the week. This weekend I am off to KC for Nat. Guard. But, you can get it the following weekend.

what are you looking to spend b/c multiple people have responded with low mileage motors but you turned them down

see some of them they didnt really know what the condition of their motor...one guy bought it off of sumone and hasnt even ran it yet, he couldnt really tell me much about the motor except the rough estimate of mileage...one guy was from like atlanta (too far to pick up)....so thats why ive turned them down...i hope u could understand my position....but if i have to put a price it would be around 450....but if the motor is good enough im willing to spend more...it really depends...
