hey when i start my rb it has a few problems.

1. upon start ( using stock guage cluster) the rpms go to 2k-2.5k is wrong cause i know the rb idles at 600 rpm. i also know the rpm guage is wrong but what does that rpm range convert to?

2. also there is an intermittent problem with idle. at random times usually a 10-20 seconds after start the car seems to idle low then goes higher and then continues in this cycle like the IAC is going crazy! what causes that problem?

what sensors signals are required for the iac to work correctly?

Make sure that the MAF is plugged in right. The RB idles around 800-1,000 rpm. 600 is too low.

There are a few writeups about how to convert your gauge cluster to an RB. Look on racebread.com

Try a vacuum leak for the rough idle. I think that is what caused it for me, but I don't remember right.

ya, it definitly sounds like a vacuum line... try checking the pcv valve.

What do you mean that all the emission stuff have been removed? Like what? Rb's don't have egr systems or air injection, what did you remove that your calling emisions stuff?

Your tach is not calibrated sounds like the car is idling right besides the random drops. Clean your iacv
