my clutch or tranny going out?

I have an S13 with SR tranny its hard to get it in 2nd at high RPM, my clutch needs to get replaced i know that already... but if i put a new clutch in will it fix my 2nd gear or is it my syncros going out.... what should i do?

you mean its hard to actually move the lever etc, the clutch is disengaged when you press it in, so id say yah rebuild/replace.

the shifter moves nice and easy it just grinds when trying to get into 2nd at the higher RPMs

Your gear syncros are worn out. The 2nd gear one more than the others. Really there's no reason to rebuild the tranny. Just buy another used one and slap it in, then drive.

I tried to "rebuild" my 1st tranny. Let's just say the only thing I ended up using were the sensors.....on my 2nd tranny.

It's a major PITA
