Like evryone else i picked up the new sport compact car issue, with dent motorsport s13 vs s2000.

while reading the brake modification colum, i read that he has evo 8 front calipers and r32 4 piston calipers in the rear and was wondering if anyone else on the forum has tryed this.

im curious because i currently bought evo 8 calipers with conversion brackets and z33 track rotors, and wanna reuse my z32 4 piston calipers the same way.

why did you buy evo8 calipers when you already have z32 calipers?

SPLparts.com has brackets to run 350Z track rotors with 30mm 300zx calipers.
z32's rears are 2 piston.

you could also have SEARCHED and found the thread by someone using STi brembos

i got the evo8 brakes because they are better then z32 brakes. i have read all about the driving impression with the evo8 caliper conversion which led me to get them.

MY QUESTION is if any1 has use the z32 fronts as the rear LIKE dent motorsorts s13 hatch.

with the right bracket and rotor, any caliper could be made to work. considering the popularity of that swap, it's probably going to be custom.

i think its 'driftstyre'

z32 fronts in the rears. i know of a few people who talked about doing it, but never got around to making it happen.

the artical says R32 GTR calipers...nothing about fronts inthe rear.....

4pot calipers out back on a 240 would be WAY too much braking especially with only 4 pots up front still.....

/\ 4pots in the rear would not be too much if you adjust the brake ratio more to the front. I'm sure that DSG (Bill) already took that into consideration with all the speed and downforce added to the car.

in which case there would have been no upside to running 4pots in the rear

The brake feel would still be different even if the brake bias was adjusted to be the same (that car has a tilton or AP pedal setup IIRC so they can adjust it). Maybe they like the feel of the 4 pots in the back better than whatever they had there before.

Also the heat capacity of the caliper would be bigger.
