hey guys im halfway thru my auto>manual swap.
i have a question concerning the pilot bushing thats in the crackshaft rite now.
i read that i should use a chisel and hammer and hit it out?
from wat i was looking at, the bushing is only 1/2" in width and it ends with another part starting.
do i place the chisel in between these 2 parts and hammer it out? im not really sure what to do from reading the guides on here.
i would appreciate the help guys
any pictures/videos/diagrams would help
thanks

You can use a flat head screwdriver too. In fact, its probably easier since its smaller than a chisel. Just hammer the top of the bearing and split it, then do the bottom and you should break it into 2 pieces. Then it should just come out. That's how I did mine.

Go to autozone and get a slidehammer and a pilot bushing or bearing removal kit. Its free to rent and will pull it out in about 10 seconds.
