Purchased a used set of Tein HE's - how to soften struts?

Hey guys which way do I adjust the dampener to soften the dampener settings? Clockwise or Counter Clockwise? It didnt come with the adjusting tool either so a proper fitting allen wrench should do the trick correct?

you turn full right for hard. and start the clicking from there. it goes up to 16 clicks from full right. go to tein's web site for the manual. it's in PDF form.

Start at full TIGHT (turn right until it stops)

THEN, make softer form there (lefty-loosey)...UP TO 16 clicks.

More than 16 clicks counter-clockwise is for rebuilding...DO NOT drive on them like that.
