try searching it, but you wont get a full swap done for $3000 either way, you want to have at least $4000 in case anything goes wrong like your wiring harness is messed up or something, there's always unseen problems that end up costing you

Yeah, $3k is pushing it as a max. Are you doing the swap yourself? Or having a shop do it?

For reference, I spent a little over $4500 to get my SR swap in and running and we did everything ourselves.

Could have done it for a little cheaper had the motorset come with everything.

start saving. i'd say $4000-$4500 is probably average for a SR swap with a few new OEM parts and basic bolt-ons like a air cleaner, downpipe, exhaust, etc. you sure as hell aint gonna get a RB25 in your 240 for $3000. take your time, save your money, and do it right. you'll be happy you did.

thanks now all that money talk, what about a ka-t whould that even be worth the time to do. and what kinda hp am i gonna get from it. cuz it still all oem if it breaks and shit then its like 950 to get a whold new engine. the sr and rb is jap so its gonna be pricey for anythingif it get fucked up. so since the thread is already up i might as well just ask. An what is the highist i can go as far as boost. i was thinking around 19psi? im not sure if that will blow the manafold or not? ok thanks for all the replys

there is no one answer for that question. it depends on too many variables. search and research other folks ka-t setups

I just got done ordering everything for my sr swap, which im doing myself and i'm up to 4300 bucks, and that's not including whatever I may need that it doesn't come with or is broken. plus i haven't gotten gauges or a boost controller yet...just giving you an idea on how much a sr swap will run you.

This all could've been searched.

19psi WTF!? Keep that for honda's/dsm's.

You need to know how to crawl before you can try and out run Asafa Powell.

Save up more money or else your car won't end up the way you want it.

not without a build, but if you turbo a KA your should strongly consider building it for boost anyway. Also, you don't need a lot of boost to make decent power with these engines. 15-17 psi on an SR with a T28, tuned properly can put you in the 300whp range

You need to search though. The KA vs. SR debate has been beaten to death. It's strictly preference.

20psi on KA = 400 hp range..
fuckin' gnarly
