My stock exhaust is starting to rust and get holes in it. I was looking to get a catback on e-bay cause they are cheaper than the stock exhaust plus it might give a slight hp boost. My biggest concern is it sounding like a fart can. Anyone bought a cat back on e-bay? Will the silencer help at all? Any input would be much appreciated. The links below are examples of what I was looking at.

The only drawback (at least for me) is the super expensive shipping cost.
Even, one Ebay seller quote me 350 for shipping ONLY!!

It has been said time and time again on the forum, but it rings true, you get what you pay for. If you sepend some time and weld up what you want you may get a deal but ebay stuff just plain sucks.

Look at the "post your muff" thread.

For me, seems that custom local exhaust with a good muffler (magnaflow or similar) will work the same.
